Full-time
We are seeking a skilled machinist who is familiar with running Haas machining centers, as well as vertical machining centers. They will have primary "day-to-day" responsibilities performing machinist work with a client's specifications to produce manufactured parts. Using blueprints provided by client engineers, machinists will assess specifications and configure equipment to produce lots/batches of parts. This position is also required to support the plant's environmental & safety initiatives.
Key Accountabilities:
Responsible for supporting the practices for TPM (Total Preventative Maintenance) to continually improve the preventative maintenance program of the operations (equipment & practices).
Mill machinists are expected to use measuring tools such as gauges, calipers, indicators, and micrometers to perform tool changes and radius offsets.
Responsible for the setting up, loading, and programming (CNC) equipment. They're responsible for its smooth operation and transition from one customer requirement to another.
Responsible for “day to day” assigned projects.
Help with maintaining timelines and ensuring that the company strives to meet customer expectations.
Support with the input for the function of process and operation cadence.
Willing to be active and possible travel, for education requirements that improve techniques and programming requirements to maintain and/or upgrade systems for quality impacts to continuous growth.
Support other team functions required by Management that would support facility growth.

This position will support the business through effective initiation of products and guidelines that will support new and existing products to the company’s repertoire of capabilities. Also establish and maintain the protocol’s for effective quoting to sustain a sales level acceptable to company’s financial goals. Expected to be “in tune” with customer relationships and protocols that either require human interface or technical software to ensure communication is above standard in clarity of expectations and deliverables. Expect this position to ensure that all information is conveyed to the Manufacturing team and supported by leading the programming efforts to the CNC machines and advising for “best practices” when required. Expect all information after purchase order to be conveyed for Administration duties to begin. This position is also required to support the plant’s safety & environmental initiatives.
Key Accountabilities
Outside communication with customers will be critical.
Work with Quality Manager for establishing and documenting procedures for quote requirements.
Support to ensure the proper prioritization (planning) of work is considered for quote. Keep the “under promise and over deliver” thought process as timing is factored for customer.
Work with Operations Manager for decision making on equipment upgrades and programming updates.
Documentation Control (paperless) for libraries to be set up and governed for engineering files and quoting.
Support Manufacturing as a liaison of the product when necessary to convey the details of customer’s requirement to the application of the task within the operation (bridge the gap).
Support the activity that is required for employee improvements through educating the work force for best practices and cadences.
