CNC MACHINIST OPERATOR (LATHE AND/OR MILL)

Full-time
We are seeking a skilled machinist who is familiar with running Haas machining centers, as well as vertical machining centers. They will have primary "day-to-day" responsibilities performing machinist work with a client's specifications to produce manufactured parts. Using blueprints provided by client engineers, machinists will assess specifications and configure equipment to produce lots/batches of parts. This position is also required to support the plant's environmental & safety initiatives.

Skills/Competencies

  • Personal computing skills with knowledge of Computer Numerical Control (CNC)

  • Strong communications skills - both written & oral

  • Highly organized

  • Accuracy and attention to detail

  • Able to identify urgent and/or emerging problems and engage appropriate colleagues in problem resolution

Education Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • Secondary degree in machining OR equivalent experience & training strongly preferred

Experience Requirements

  • Five (5) years or more of experience in machining OR similar role within a manufacturing setting

  • Experience in some facet of prototype or manufacturing setting

Physical Requirements/Work Environment

  • Ability to sit, stand, walk for extended periods of time

  • While performing the duties of this job the employee is required at times to work at a personal computer

  • Incumbents are frequently required to spend time in plant examining equipment which may require climbing, stooping, and standing

SKILLED LATHE LEAD

Full-time
We are seeking a skilled
lathe lead who is familiar with running Haas machining centers, as well as vertical machining centers. They will support "day-to-day" operations of the plant through effective management of the production personnel, set up, fixture design, training, and quality expectations. They will be the floor technical liason for personnel. This position is also required to support the plant's safety & environmental initiatives. A physical presence on the floor will be part of each day's tasks and responsibilities, this is not a "desk job" position.

Skills/Competencies

  • Personal computing skills with knowledge of MS Office Suite & CAD/CAM programs

  • Strong communications skills - both written & oral

  • Highly organized

  • Accuracy and attention to detail with ability to multi-task

  • Able to retain critical knowledge of engineering, project management

  • Able to identify urgent and/or emerging problems, identify alternative corrective solutions, and engage appropriate colleagues in problem resolution

Education Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • Secondary degree in machining OR equivalent experience & training strongly preferred
